After The Fall is a Feral Heart group about a community of dogs surviving in a post-apocalyptic urban environment. The group takes place in an unnamed city in the heart of what was once Russia.
The war was started and ended by humans setting Nuclear warheads ablaze, ultimately sending the world to it's demise. The land is barren, and filled with radiation. Though, not everything died and most creatures have found ways to survive even with radiation poisoning. Canines of all sorts were the most abundant species, grouping together for support and shelter. They dominate the area, but humans still roam where they can't see. Humans are the communities strongest, and most feared enemy, they're deadly and furious. With their high intelligence and desperation they'll eat and kill anything. Even a human who was once a dogs owner will turn on them and use them as food. The dogs are being hunted by humans, so any human spotted needs to be exterminated on sight.
The dogs live in fear, their resources scarce. They live off of garbage, small prey or rarely a human or another dog. Besides their troubles the pack itself is 'peaceful,' any qualms settled quickly. They get along because they must.
Recently a rumor about an airborne disease which leaves the air toxic has surfaced. This has spurred the trend of dogs covering their muzzles with scarves, fabric or anything they can get their paws on. The council wears gas masks, since only few were discovered it was decided the leaders were the most important. They needed protection.The rumor is false, and the catalyst remains unknown, though the dogs do not know this.
